Linda J. Ereaut
I am a self-taught artist from Western Sydney, Australia, creating contemporary botanical and landscape paintings inspired by the quiet beauty of my surroundings. My background in microbiology has shaped the way I see the world — through layers, patterns, and intricate structures that mirror nature’s design.
Each painting begins with close observation and builds through intuition, colour, and texture. I’m drawn to the rhythm of forms found in native flora and wild places, and to the emotional energy of paint itself — deep reds, soft neutrals, and the layered greens of the Australian landscape.
With French heritage and a connection to the European tradition of painting, I feel at home where art and everyday life intertwine. Travelling to France strengthened that sense of what belonging and home means, an appreciation for light, history and the quiet dignity of landscape that influences my work.
My work celebrates the connection between science and art, order and emotion, stillness and movement. Every piece is a meditation on presence — an invitation to pause, to look closely, and to find something familiar yet quietly new.
